WHAT TO EXPECT
Typical working hours are from Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm . Overtime is often available, and some Saturday work may be required. Some flexibility for remote work by approval!
As our Metal Fabrication Estimator, you're in charge of our project estimation processes, analyzing all job aspects to create detailed, comprehensive bids. You put your attention to detail and problem-solving skills to the test as you review project plans and specifications, determine the scope of work, identify necessary materials and labor, and create accurate cost estimates. Attentively, you review bids with clients and management, making sure everything looks good before getting the work underway.
Your job isn't done once the estimations are finished; you're involved throughout the project lifecycle to deliver the best possible results. This includes obtaining competitive pricing from vendors, developing proactive mitigation strategies, and maintaining accurate project documentation. You research estimation industry trends to keep your knowledge fresh, and you collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, stakeholders, and project managers as needed.
Minimum qualifications for this estimating role:
Our ideal Metal Fabrication Estimator has extensive HVAC installation and fabrication knowledge. Experience with QuoteSoft or Fabrication ESTmep software would be a bonus!
