Rosie’s Recovery Center is an outpatient mental health facility that provides evidence-based care for individuals facing challenges such as trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders. We are committed to offering high-quality, client-centered care while fostering the professional development of aspiring mental health professionals.

Job Summary:

Rosie’s Recovery Center is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Counseling or Social Work Interns to join our clinical team. This internship provides hands-on experience in outpatient mental health services, allowing interns to work directly with clients under the supervision of licensed professionals. The position is designed for masters or graduate students who are working toward licensure and want to develop their clinical and case management skills in a supportive, educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed clinician (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Conduct intake assessments and contribute to treatment planning for clients dealing with trauma, addiction, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
• Observe and participate in clinical interventions using evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and more.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including social workers, counselors, and case managers, to coordinate holistic client care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in ICANotes , our EHR system, while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Attend supervision and team meetings to discuss case studies, receive feedback, and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Assist with case management duties, such as linking clients to external resources or services as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Must be eligible to complete clinical hours as part of a degree program (for academic credit or program requirements).
• Strong interest in working in an outpatient mental health setting with diverse populations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, client-centered care model.
• Basic understanding of mental health diagnoses, therapeutic techniques, and ethical guidelines.
