TheMedical Editor is part of the Medical team and is responsible for daily editorial responsibilities on multiple brands, including proofreading, initial reads, cold reads, fact-checking, correction checks, and double reads according toproject stage and agency process.TheMedical Editoralsomaintains brand style sheets and attends brand team meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edits/proofreads advertising, educational,andtraining and manuscripts, layouts,and digital assignments
• Reads for correct grammar, punctuation,and spelling; language and style consistency; accuracy; sense/clarity; required copy
• Ensures relevant standards (eg, client/brand, AMA, FDA) are met
• Is knowledgeable of and remains current on FDA guidelines
• Creates and maintains editorial stylesheetsfor each assigned brand
• Stays current with standards for co-editors accountsable to cover other brands when needed
• Fact-checks referenced information before jobs are sent to client/regulatory for approval
• Annotate and reference various types of data according to project guidelines and specifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• 1 to 2years of experience deliveringeditorialwork in healthcare, advertising, or a related field
• Generalunderstanding of both print and digital projects, and how their unique needs affecteditorialreviews
• Generalproficiency in digital/remote work communication tools
• Knowledge ofAMA Manual of Style11and FDA guidelines preferred
