Industry Mart is Tennessee's leading pallet rack and material handling distributor with over 44 years of experience in the industrial equipment business. We offer new and used pallet rack, warehouse and industrial equipment, and rack systems solutions to clients throughout the southeast. Our fully stocked distribution center and adjacent warehouse showroom is located just off I-40 in Cookeville, TN. Our clients range from small manufacturers to the nation’s largest supply chain distributors.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Material Handling Sales role located in Cookeville, TN. The position requires periodic outside sales calls and client site visits. There is potential for hybrid work after the initial training period based on experience and qualifications. The position will play a key role in driving revenue and building B2B client relationships. Key responsibilities include:

• Building, developing, and managing a client portfolio, maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients to identify new business opportunities.
• Generating leads, conducting outreach, and engaging potential customers through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to present tailored solutions.
• Presenting our products or services to clients and clearly articulating their value to close sales and secure long-term contracts.
• Keeping accurate and detailed records of sales activities, pipelines, and performance metrics in our CRM system, ensuring up-to-date and accessible information.
• Staying informed on industry trends, product updates, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Sales or Industry Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in B2B sales and / or material handling, industrial equipment, or engineering
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or Communications
• Design: Experience with CAD or design software preferred
• Systems: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and inventory management software
• Warehouse Operations: Strong understanding of warehouse operations and equipment
• Communications and Sales: Excellent communication and sales skills
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and part of a collaborative sales team in a fast-paced environment
• Customer Experience: Proven ability to develop successful relationships and close sales. Customer oriented; ensuring lasting relationships with our customers. Ability to overcome sales objections and maintain positivity.
