Under general direction from the Business Operations Manager, this position is responsible for assisting all store managers in the hiring and onboarding processes. Additional responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. These processes include responsibility for cash management, processing and auditing of paperwork associated with sales, and providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and handling incoming calls. Coordinate employment process for job applicants visiting the CarMax location, including scheduling, paperwork, and maintaining applicant files. Coordinate all new associate orientation, ensuring documentation completion, personnel file maintenance, and training on systems like Workday and Kronos. Perform Business Office functions such as customer service, paperwork processing for retail/wholesale automobile sales, auction sales, dealer registration, appraisal lane purchases, cash management, DMV paperwork processing, mentoring new associates, clerical duties, and phone system management. Work environment includes a noisy office with distractions, requires walking or standing for extended periods, and varied work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must wear CarMax clothing while working in the store. Qualifications include ability to read and transcribe data, use word processing and spreadsheet programs, prioritize and multi-task, lift 15-20 lbs, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and complete required training.
