PrimeCare Medical is currently looking to hire Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work part-time or prn on the evening shift in the medical department at the Fayette County Prison in Uniontown, PA. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under the supervision of an RN.

Available Shift: PT or PRN Evening (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $27 an hour with a $2 shift differential

Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily provide comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel. In addition, the Licensed Practical Nurse will also maintain, update, and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure. Other responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps under applicable state and federal laws.

- Conduct sick calls for patients and provide treatment for illnesses and injuries, as defined by the written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.

- Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in formulating the plan of care.

- Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the patient's medical record.

This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

Active LPN license in the state where the facility is located
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Strong patient assessment skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrate clinical competency
