Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for the management, design and maintenance of information and computer systems.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Managing information technology and computer systems
  • Rapid response troubleshooting and repair of IT system failures.
  • Responsible for organizational computer security
  • Responsible for updates to the Kaney NIST 800-171 cybersecurity POAM (Plan of Actions and Milestones), and execution of the POAM to support DFARS requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for IT system improvement to maximize the efficiency of the whole Kaney organization and presenting these opportunities to senior leadership with cost/benefit analysis.
  • Responsible for planning and executing digital technology projects that contribute to the achievement of our company's strategic roadmap.
  • IT system obsolescence management
  • Ensure that system backups occur regularly, and validate backup restoration capability
  • Manage the IT budget, maximizing system robustness and capability within budget constraints

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
Minimum Competencies:
  • Knowledgeable in industry best-practices for computer system security
  • Experience with SQL database management and data extraction
  • Ability to work in a hands-on environment with other Kaney team members
  • Network management experience, including VLAN with VoIP and Data VLANs
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Competencies:
  • SQL experience
  • Visual Basic programming
  • Experience working in a government and/or manufacturing environment
  • MRP system management experience
  • Management of computers used in manufacturing and aerospace test equipment
