Job Description

Location:  Rock Island IL
Pay:  up to $38/hr depending on experience 
MF 1st Shift 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and controls issues throughout the plant
• Troubleshooting of automation systems and devices (PLC I/O VFDs fieldbuses communication networks)
• Replacement of defective devices or commissioning of new devices including basic configuration or backup reloading
• Create update and maintain technical documentation as needed (electrical diagrams installation notes other relevant documentation)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of general industrial electronics and process control concepts
• Ability to read understand create and update electrical diagrams with an emphasis on troubleshooting from electrical diagrams
• Electrical troubleshooting capabilities with the use of multimeter and other diagnostic tools; 24VDC 240VAC 480VAC
• Experience with industrial control systems (control panels relays contactors safety systems etc.)
• Experience with industrial automation systems including PLCs (Siemens AllenBradley) and HMIs
• Ability to read PLC program and reload from backup
• Experience working with industrial variable frequency drives (VFDs) (SEW Siemens AllenBradley Lenze)
• Experience with industrial fieldbuses (Profibus Profinet ASi)
• Understanding of industrial safety concepts systems and devices (Estops light curtains safety doors OSSD safety monitors); experience with ASiSafe and Profisafe are a plus
• Basic knowledge of ethernet and basic networking skills (routers switches IP address MAC address)
• Working knowledge and basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
• Experience with AutoCAD for drawing/updating electrical plans
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills including ability to root cause and troubleshoot automated equipment and controls
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C# and Visual Basic

Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Electrical Engineering or focus on Controls or Electronics
• A Master Electrical License or Journeyman Electrical License is required
• 35 years related work experience
• Hands on plant integration experience developing manufacturing support systems
• Ability to work flexible hours as required
