We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator who is passionate about community engagement, relationship-building, and supporting our hospice mission.

Position Summary

The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting hospice volunteers who serve patients, families, and the organization. This role ensures compliance with hospice regulations while fostering a positive, meaningful volunteer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and train hospice volunteers
• Coordinate and schedule volunteers for patient care, facility, and administrative support
• Maintain volunteer files, training records, and documentation in compliance with hospice regulations
• Ensure volunteers meet Medicare Conditions of Participation requirements
• Provide ongoing support, education, and recognition to volunteers
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team to identify patient and family needs
• Participate in community outreach and events to promote hospice volunteer services
• Track volunteer hours and report data as required
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination, healthcare, hospice, or community outreach preferred
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Basic computer skills and EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
