One Health Home Health and Hospic Care is seeking an Home Health Administrator. As a part of the licensing requirement for establishing this agency, we are looking to fill a role for use in the application and for future employment.

Duties The Administrator is a qualified full-time employee appointed by the Governing Body to administer, direct and coordinate all administrative and financial activities of the home health agency and works along side of the Director of Nursing.
Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: Supervises the entire organization to include all day-to-day operations and directly supervises the Director of Nursing.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Implement effective fiscal planning by budgeting and managing operations in accordance with established fiscal parameters.
Maintain liaison among the Governing Body, staff and the community.
Implement governing body directives and organizational policies and procedures.
Ensure that the Agency employs qualified personnel, including assuring the development of personnel qualifications and policies
Establish and maintain effective channels of communication within the agency and with contracted agencies and the community.
Ensure staff development including orientation, in-service education, continuing education and evaluation of staff.
Direct and monitor organizational Performance Improvement activities.
Appoint a qualified, pre-designated person who is authorized in writing by the Administrator and the governing body and assumes the same responsibilities and obligations as the Administrator when the Administrator is not available. The pre-designated person may be the Director of Nursing.
Ensure that a Director of Nursing as described in regulation 484.105(c) is available during all operating hours.
Completes performance evaluations on subordinate staff in accordance with agency policy.
Plans, develops, implements, administers and evaluates program.
Will be available at all times during operating hours and emergency situations.
Inform the governing body, and staff of current organizational, community, and industry trends.
Over sees the Performance Improvement program.
Participate in the review, analysis and appraisal of the effectiveness of the total agency program.
Submit to the Governing Body periodic reports of agency activity, including financial statements.
Authorize the hiring of administrative, clinical and clerical positions as needed depending on the volume of services provided.
Serves as the agencys Disaster Coordinator.
Acts as corporate compliance officer and assumes responsibilities described in the agency corporate compliance plan.
Implement all utilization review activities.
Coordinate the timely implementation of corrective action plans and controls.
Acts as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.
Requirements Be familiar with Federal, State and accreditation regulations and maintain them in the agency.
Be responsible for familiarizing the employees with all laws and regulations and make available copies of the rules available for their use.
Be responsible for the completion, maintenance and submission of such reports and records as required.
Designate a professional employee (Alternate) to be his/her authorized representative in his/her absence.
Maintain a current organizational chart to show lines of authority to the client level.
Clearly identify public services provided by the agency in the geographic area in which these services are available.
Maintain office facility for the agency which is large enough for efficient staff work, adequately equipped, and which provides for a safe working environment, meeting local ordinances and fire regulations.
Registered Nurse in the state of employment is highly preferred
A minimum of five years of supervisory or administrative experience in home healthcare, or related health programs
Expertise and Homecare background for multiple sites preferred
Knowledge of guideline governing home health agencies
Knowledgeable on nursing best practices
Qualifications A licensed physician, a registered nurse, or holds an undergraduate degree
Has experience in health service administration and
at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health care program within the last five years Must have a criminal background check.
Must possess a valid state driver license. Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
