Job Overview
Community Academy of Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time High School Team Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves collaborating closely with a lead teacher to deliver engaging and effective instruction in a dynamic classroom setting. The team teacher will provide instructional support, assist in lesson planning, and work directly with students to enhance their learning experience. This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about student achievement and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Teaching: Work alongside the lead teacher to deliver lessons, manage classroom activities, and assess student progress.
• Student Support: Provide individualized or small-group instruction to help students grasp challenging concepts and stay on track academically.
• Lesson Planning: Assist in developing and refining lesson plans, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment by supporting classroom routines, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
• Communication: Regularly communicate with the lead teacher, students, and parents to discuss student progress, areas of concern, and strategies for improvement.
• Act as a role model by making your students feel motivated while maintaining an approachable personality
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Education or relevant subject.
• Current PA teaching certification preferred, but not required
• Current FBI, Criminal, and Child Abuse clearances are required.
• Previous experience in a high school setting is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
