Staff Cultural Characteristics: Growth mindset Christ-centered life Humility Pursues unity and reconciliation Loves and cares for others Job Responsibilities:Oversees and leads the following Camp Roger Outdoor Education programs:Weekday field trip program at Camp Roger and Camp Scottie.Overnight and weekend group Outdoor Education programming.Camp Rogers Outdoor Education programs, such as our 9-month Homeschool Program and GO Days Administratively manages:Group communication.Final program details.Designing group schedules.Appropriate staffing of groups.Distribution and collection of group waivers and forms.Interviews, hires, and trains outdoor education staff.Completes yearly evaluations for outdoor education staff.Provides group leadership for adventure course, teambuilding, and environmental education activities. Leads the Outdoor Education staff in developing and improving curriculum, equipment care, and general day-to-day problem-solving. Manages the upkeep of the adventure course, including equipment and inspections.Involved with annual Camp Roger events such as fundraisers, Illuminations, etc. Job Requirements: Ability to lift 20 lbs. Working knowledge of Office 365. Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve. Excellent written and communication skills. Minimum of 3 years working with children in an educational setting.Bachelor's degree in education or related field.Ability to stand an walk in uneven terrain in varying weather conditions. Some evening and weekend work required. Responsible to: Year-Round Outdoor Programming Director Member of: Year-Round Staff Supervises: Outdoor education specialists and per day staff Organizational Requirements: Cares deeply about Camp Rogers ministry to children. Dedication to serving others. Fluent, bi-literate English/Spanish preferred. Agrees to sign and strive to live up to the standards outlined in Camp Rogers Faith and Life Covenant (located at Attend CORE Workshop within the first year of hire. Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position averaging 45 hours per week and requiring some evening and weekend work. Pay range is between $52,000 and $57,000 per year.
