The work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (schedule can start later than 9:00 am)

Job Description

• Performs routine cytogenetic tests and molecular cytogenetics tests independently with accuracy and efficiency.
• Develops new testing procedures.
• Perform FISH and Chromosomes analysis.
• Performs all types of cytogenetics tests established in the lab and provides technical expertise to technologists
• Monitors the performance of the equipment and provides expertise in technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, and/or medical lab sciences from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG) is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Technologist in Cytogenetics/FISH analysis is required; 2-3 years is preferred
