We aim to create a fresh, relatable and empowering resource that will help viewers navigate the often-intimidating world of personal finance with confidence and clarity.

The Opportunity:

As our host, you'll guide listeners through the financial landscape with an authoritative yet conversational on-mic presence. We are looking for someone who possesses sharp editorial judgement, and can clearly explain the "what" and the "why" behind financial news and its impact on everyday lives.

As a Wealthion Host, you'll be the face and voice of our channel, leading compelling discussions, conducting insightful interviews with industry experts, and breaking down complex financial concepts into actionable advice for our diverse audience. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the financial well-being of thousands, helping them gain confidence and take control of their financial future.

The top candidate will have a solid financial education foundation and demonstrable expertise in finance (investing, debt management, retirement planning, etc.). Candidate must be curious and skilled at asking the right questions —starting from the basic to the unexpected—to uncover accurate and insightful information. The successful candidate must also have excellent written and verbal communication, be comfortable on camera with experience in research, reporting and interviewing.

A background in podcasting, radio, video or another comparable medium is preferred. Experience in storytelling in multiple formats, including narrative-style podcasting, is a plus.

Responsibilities Include:

• Host and produce a finance education podcast on YT, managing all aspects of writing, recording, and mixing while meeting tight deadlines
• Respond quickly to breaking news with guest bookings, conduct interviews with industry leaders and newsmakers, and perform original reporting
• Create SEO-optimized content including headlines, show descriptions, and social media materials to grow audience that help bring new audiences to the podcast and encourage listening
• Collaborate with editors, producers and the social-media team to promote the podcast and Wealthion on social media, in newsletters and in outside media
• Interview external sources, asking insightful questions on the fly that get to the story in a conversational way
• Conduct original reporting that distinguishes the podcast from other finance podcast offerings.
• Proactively propose interviews and episode ideas, working ahead to ensure the show has a consistent pipeline of strong and timely interview opportunities
• Book newsmakers and industry leaders, and thoroughly research and prepare for interviews that will make news and lead the conversation
• Pitch and execute special series and coverage, including narrative-style episodes.
• Ensure all content meets the highest production values and all Wealthion journalistic and legal standards are followed
• Have the ability to meet tight deadlines in a changing news environment and work under pressure and pivot when news events warrant, moving quickly to change show plans
• Representing Wealthion at industry events and conferences as needed.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as news warrants, handle multiple projects simultaneously, various stages of development and and maintain high production standards

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 3+ years working in finance or financial reporting and experience in reporting/hosting
• On-Air Skills: Engaging on-mic and video presence, video comfort, strong interviewing abilities across various formats, Ability to articulate complex financial ideas clearly, concisely, and with enthusiasm, making them relatable to both seasoned investors and those new to finance.
• Technical: Proficiency in Riverside and YT studio for editing, mixing and posting; field recording experience a plus
• Editorial: Strong editorial judgment, broad knowledge of current events/economics, accurate fact-checking and delivering accurate research and scripts
• Professional: Robust industry contact network, excellent communication/collaboration skills, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Solid understanding of economics, investing, and market dynamics is essential. You're comfortable discussing a wide range of financial topics.
• Passion for Financial Education: You're genuinely committed to helping others improve their financial literacy and achieve their wealth-building goals.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with field recording is a plus.
