Job Description

The Export Team is responsible for overseeing the effective design and provision of export logistics solutions that prioritise both timeliness and high-quality delivery standards, ensuring the compliant movement of goods from the shipper, through export customs and regulatory processes. This encompasses a broad range of
logistics-based tasks, involving the strategic coordination of internal Biocair teams, third-party supplier networks, customs brokers, and customers to ensure that the transport and delivery of goods align seamlessly with customer expectations.

The role of the Export Coordinator is to review export notifications, secure bookings with airlines, ensure appropriate temperature-controlled packaging selections, and arrange for the collection of shipments.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and send destination pre-alert: Master Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, regulatory statements, shipper's declarations, attach licenses or permits as needed
  •Complete and file export declaration (AES, NES)
• Ensure that selected packaging solutions are suited to maintain temperature validation for the product and transit time
  •Prepare shipping labels and check for quality and accuracy before transport
• Secure bookings with airlines, integrators and/or transport suppliers for international and domestic shipments, with consideration to cost efficiency and level of service
• Assemble and maintain shipment files for recordkeeping to include relevant shipping documents and communications, and noting related costs
• Record details regarding shipment deviations and supplier non-conformance in the transport management system

In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:

• Experience in logistics, courier, or freight forwarding role
• Knowledge and familiarity with HTS codes, Incoterms
• Knowledge and familiarity with global customs procedures, documentation
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, and offered as 100% on-site from our Chicago office.
