ESports Assistant Position Overview: The Esports Assistant position is a critical position for the success of the CSP Esports Program. The Esports Assistant is responsible for filling a variety of roles for the program, as delegated by the Head Coach. Assistants will help in the development and creation of marketing and media materials, coaching/mentoring specific players/teams and helping with events on campus. The Esports Assistant is responsible for creating, managing, and running all of the Twitch streams for the CSP Esports program. Assistants will help in the development and creation of marketing and media materials, coaching/mentoring specific players/teams, helping with events on campus, and being an overall representative of the Esports program, both on and off campus.
Essential Duties: - Events
- Work events where Esports is being represented
- Engage with students and pursue interested student athletes by gathering contact information and talking up the program.
- Be kind, courteous, and helpful before, during, and after events
- Help with set up, maintenance, and take down
- Set-up, Management, and delivery of stream
- Create, design, and implement basic streaming graphics, text, and effects including but not limited to
- Introduction
- Be Right Back
- Ending Graphic
- Maintain Streamlabs/OBS profile for the program
- Maintain up to date graphics, text, and effects
- Create Highlights on Twitch that we can also use on YouTube and Social Media
- Categorize videos based on year and game played on Twitch
- Having our stream set up early and being prepared to start the stream when the game is set up
- Managing and moderating the Twitch chat during all CSP matches
- Creating engagement using other plugins on the Twitch/Streamlabs platforms
- Social Media
- Create social media posts using provided graphics for Twitter, Instagram, and any other site used by the program
- Game Schedule
- Going live
- Game results
- Player highlights
- Team highlights
- Event Highlights
- Interact with followers and other Esports programs, players, and coaches on behalf of the program
- Help develop ideas for various events or projects of the Esports program as assigned by the Head Coach
- Create marketing materials such as posters, social media posts, merchandise, etc. for all of the various Esports events
- Work with the head coach to determine where marketing materials can be best utilized
- Mentoring
- Work with students academically by monitoring Study Hall and checking in with players individually
- Be a resource for all other players in the Esports program athletically, socially, and emotionally
- Connect with the Head Coach on any questions, comments, or concerns (positive and negative)
