Job Description
FAT CAT PAPERIE, an award winning, fast-paced invitation and graphic design studio, is looking for a friendly, motivated, hard-working, positive, detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Working alongside our creative director to design invitations and event stationery
• Communication and follow-up with customers throughout their entire experience with Fat Cat Paperie
• Processing orders to our various printers to ensure timely delivery and accurate printing
• Oversight, management, and trafficking of all jobs in various stages of printing and assembly
• Helping to keep the studio neat, clean and tidy--stocking, dusting, filing, and putting things away where they belong
• Printing, cutting down paper, and assembling our in-house invitation orders
• Checking in and packing up completed jobs to make sure they are pretty and perfect for customer pick-up or shipping
• Loads of other fun, creative, and challenging stuff!
The successful candidate must:
• be a lover of fine stationery, invitations and design
• have strong design & typography skills
• work comfortably in Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator on a Mac platform
• have a 4-year degree or equivalent school/work experience in graphic design
• have a minimum of 1 year work experience
• be able to work on several projects at the same time
• be neurotic about detail (this is crucial—everything we do involves details, including a great deal of proofreading, so it needs to be a strength—really! Did we mention “neurotic” about the details?!)
• be a great verbal and written communicator (we are in the business of communication after all!)
• be friendly and fun (we want our customers to love their experience at Fat Cat Paperie ~ and our team members to love working with you!)

This position will start out part-time and can turn into a full-time position. Office is located in Center Moriches, Long Island. compensation: Somewhere between $15-$25/hr, depending on strength of portfolio and experience.
