Director of Youth Ministry St. James United Methodist Church Atlanta, GA St. James UMC is a welcoming, neighborhood church in the Buckhead/Brookhaven area, seeking a dynamic youth director/minister. Our mission is to help every person grow in faith that translates belief into action. The ideal candidate will be an energetic leader with strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for working with youth. The Director of Youth Ministry will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the youth ministry, providing opportunities for spiritual growth for middle and high school students of St. James. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate and oversee the Youth Ministry, including weekly programs, retreats, mission trips, and special events. Communicate regularly and effectively with youth, parents, youth leaders, staff, congregation, and community. Recruit, train, and supervise teachers, leaders, and volunteers for youth programming. Support and encourage youth through counseling, spiritual guidance, friendship, and support.
