Job Opportunity: Diesel Tractor-Trailer Mechanic

Job Overview Russell Transport is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our San Antonio terminal. We are a Tier 1 carrier providing dedicated service across North America. We prioritize a safety-first culture and a professional shop environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on tractors and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including Cummins and Detroit Diesel models.
• Service and repair air brake systems, ABS, and suspension components.
• Maintain 53-foot dry vans and specialized equipment.
• Document all repairs and parts usage in the fleet management system.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy-duty diesel repair.
• Must possess a personal set of hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred).
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
