Job Description: Cyber Security Engineer Stellar Consulting Solutions, LLC is hiring for a Cyber Security Engineer position located in San Jose, CA . This is a 6+ months contract role with a pay range of $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with security methodologies, advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, and experience analyzing security logs from various security devices. Must demonstrate expertise in areas such as Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Monitoring and Detection, or Cyber Intelligence Analysis. Core Responsibilities: Investigate security incidents to assess impact and extent of compromise. Respond to security escalations by developing and executing security controls and countermeasures. Conduct research on security breaches and design countermeasures. Maintain proficiency in security tools, techniques, and trends. Perform digital forensics, including HR investigations and legal holds, in compliance with laws. Participate in shift work, including weekends and holidays, with rotating shifts as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field. At least 3 years of experience in incident detection, response, malware analysis, or digital forensics. Certifications such as GIAC, ISC2, Cisco, EC Council, or Offensive Security certifications. Experience with offensive techniques, log analysis, system forensics, networking protocols, scripting, and risk analysis. Additional Requirements: Proficiency in offensive security techniques such as penetration testing and exploit analysis. Comfortable working with SIEM tools and analyzing logs. Knowledge of image acquisition and memory forensics. Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and tools like Wireshark or TCPDump. Senior Level and Employment Details: Entry level position.
