Description We are looking for an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our legal team on a contract basis. This position is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the energy and natural resources sector. The ideal candidate will excel in managing legal documents, supporting attorneys, and ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities: - Organize and manage legal documents, ensuring all case files are up-to-date and accessible. - Provide comprehensive support to attorneys by preparing, reviewing, and editing legal documents. - Track and manage deadlines for legal matters to ensure timely execution of tasks. - Perform administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and entering data into relevant systems. - Communicate effectively with internal teams to facilitate the completion of legal tasks. - Assist in trial preparation by coordinating discovery and compiling necessary materials. - Utilize case management software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. - Support the drafting and management of corporate legal agreements and related documentation. - Coordinate meetings and maintain schedules to support legal operations. - Ensure compliance with organizational procedures when handling confidential information. Requirements - Proven experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in corporate or litigation settings. - Strong knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and documentation requirements. - Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case management software. - Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly. - Paralegal certification or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory. - Experience in discovery, trial preparation, and civil litigation is highly desirable. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
