Lead Fun Classes After School – Minimal Hours, Maximum Impact!

Positions: Lead Teachers & Assistant Teachers for a Design in Minecraft Class
Hours: 3:15pm - 4:15pm (Thursdays starting September 11th until November 20th)

Job Type: Contracted Position
This is a contracted teaching position with the opportunity for additional dates and hours based on program needs and strong performance.

We’re hiring  Lead Teachers and  Assistant Teachers who are:

• Clear Communicators – Give simple, confident instructions
• Flexible & Patient – Adapt to different student needs and last-minute changes
• Creative & Engaging – Make learning fun and hands-on
• Team-Oriented – Work well with school staff and follow program guidelines

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in fun, interactive after-school classes using provided lesson plans
• Supervise and engage small groups of students (8–15)
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Take attendance, ensure safe dismissal, and handle classroom setup/cleanup
• Communicate with site staff and program coordinators
• Represent VAC Enrichment with professionalism and enthusiasm

Requirements:

• Afternoon availability (specific days/times vary by site)
• Reliable transportation to your assigned campus
• Clear background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent (college students welcome!)

Preferred:

• 1+ year of experience in childcare, teaching, tutoring, or similar
• CPR/First Aid certification

Skills & Experience

• Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or leading groups
• Understanding of effective classroom strategies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Compensation: Varies by role (Lead Teacher vs. Assistant)
