Job Title: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Senior Technician

Employment: Regular Full Time, Hourly

Business Unit: CNG

Reporting to: Department Manager

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Location: Tampa, Florida

JOB DESCRIPTION

Unique opportunity to join a well-established RNG production & CNG distribution company in its expansion to vertically integrate its supply chain through the development, ownership, and operation of RNG/CNG facilities across North America.

  • Owns and/or operates 17 CNG fueling facilities.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Serve as Senior CNG technician managing day to day activities at Nopetro-owned and 3rd party operated CNG stations

  • Will supervise daily CNG station operations and maintenance, including parts inventory management, SCADA oversight, annual regulatory inspections across CNG asset base

  • Lead the site maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active approach, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure

  • Responsible for planned schedule creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work conducted

  • Station management includes implementing preventative maintenance procedures, and managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Increase the site operational effectiveness, manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered

  • Complete all Nopetro safety training and ensure that all safety processes are adhered to. Wears proper personal protective equipment as required by company safety practices and policy.

  • Comply with all Nopetro workplace, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligations as well as all relevant compliance obligations related to environmental protection.

  • Always communicate with stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Undertake electrical and mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and reporting.

  • Ensure good maintenance and housekeeping practices are adhered to.

  • Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern operational principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes

  • Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works

  • Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site

  • Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditures

  • Produce written reports and make presentations

  • Undertake continuous training and development in CNG fueling operations.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems

  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization

  • Provide technical expertise to the team

  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required

  • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advice.

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining natural gas compressors and/or engines.

  • Ability to oversee multiple facilities and respective equipment.

  • Experience with CNG a plus. Experience adhering to health and safety responsibilities and requirements.

  • Experience with environmental and site compliance regulations

  • Expert in industrial and operational safety procedures with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to read, write, listen and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.

• Must be able to see adequately to effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers to complete job duties and responsibilities.

• The job is physical in nature requiring the ability to stand, sit, bend, push, pull, squat, stoop, twist, turn, crawl, climb and work in unusual positions requiring full body mobility for extended periods of time.

• Inside conditions: Protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature change.

• Extreme heat: Temperatures above 90 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

• Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions (proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to heat and / or chemicals.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional travel by automobile to work nights, holidays and weekends.
