Job Title: CNC Lathe Programmer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing precise computer programs to operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring high-quality production of metal components that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, generating G-code, and optimizing machine setup and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate CNC programs for lathe machines using engineering drawings and blueprints.
Translate design specifications into G-code to control the cutting and shaping of metal parts.
Select and set up appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for each job.
Perform initial test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control to resolve any issues related to programming or production.
Continuously optimize programs and processes for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life.
Maintain organized records of programs, tooling setups, and production notes.
