We’re seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our 2nd shift team operating a 5-axis boring mill within a union manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to perform full machine setups, make offsets and adjustments as needed, and safely use overhead cranes to load and unload large or heavy parts. This position follows a standard Monday–Thursday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a 5-axis CNC boring mill to produce precision components per blueprints and specifications.
• Perform complete setups, including tooling selection, fixturing, and machine offsets.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to tight tolerances.
• Load and unload large workpieces using overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Make adjustments to programs or tooling as required to maintain quality and productivity.
• Maintain equipment, tooling, and work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and comply with union and company policies.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience; experience with 5-axis boring mills preferred.
• Strong understanding of setup, tooling, and precision measurement.
• Comfortable operating overhead cranes and rigging heavy parts.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday with overtime on Friday as needed, in a union environment.
