Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for coding and billing purposes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous or incomplete documentation.
  • Utilize EPIC and 3M systems to analyze and update medical records.
  • Provide education to clinical staff regarding documentation standards and compliance.
  • Monitor and track documentation trends to identify areas for improvement.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in EPIC and 3M systems.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medical coding, and documentation improvement strategies.

Education:

  • BS degree required.
  • Current RN, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant license required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent hospital acute care or verifiable documentation improvement experience required.

Pay Range:

  • Weekly: $2,600 - $3,400
  • Monthly: $10,400 - $13,600
