Job Description

Company Overview:

Let's be real: AI isn't magic. Legion was built to cut through the hype and deliver secure, dependable agentic systems that work alongside the people tackling the world's most critical challenges. Born from a Department of Defense partnership and trusted by leaders across government and enterprise, Legion embeds intelligence inside complex systems, unlocking data, accelerating human workflows, and hardening mission-critical operations.

From the forward edge to Fortune 500 back offices, our agentic platform integrates AI into the software people already use, optimizing, not replacing, workflows. With world-class collaborators like NVIDIA, HPE, Planitir, and Oracle, we're building infrastructure that boosts human capability everywhere it runs.

We're looking for bold thinkers and doers to join us in shaping an AI future that's secure, grounded, and built to work.
Job Summary:

As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, enabling the executive team to operate more effectively and focus on what matters most. You'll be at the center of decision-making, business strategy, and internal operations, ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is highly organized, and has a deep understanding of startup dynamics or Department of Defense environments. Your impact will be pivotal in advancing Legion Intelligence's mission and scaling operations efficiently in a fast-paced DefenseTech setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with the CEO to define, track, and execute strategic initiatives, OKRs, and business priorities across the organization.
  • Lead high-priority, cross-functional projects ensuring timely execution, accountability, and transparent communication.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the CEO, leadership team, and broader organization to maintain alignment.
  • Identify operational gaps and develop scalable processes and frameworks to drive operational excellence and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare materials and reporting for board meetings, investor updates, and strategic partnerships.
  • Serve as a sounding board to the CEO by attending meetings, prioritizing issues, and driving follow-through on action items.
  • Foster a high-performing, transparent, and inclusive culture as the company scales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as startups, consulting, venture capital, or Department of Defense roles. DoD experience is highly valued.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of startup operations and organizational dynamics, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering executive-level presentations.
  • Highly organized and comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving priorities forward.
  • Passion for AI, emerging technologies, innovation, and their applications in defense.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience within AI/ML, deep tech, or DefenseTech sectors.
  • Technical literacy, especially familiarity with product and engineering team workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial models that support business forecasting and decision-making.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic/business experience.
Legion Intelligence is building the future of intelligent defense technologies. If you're a strategic thinker with a passion for operational impact and innovation, we want you on our team.
