About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as a strategic and visible leader in the harnessing of technology to drive the institution's evolution and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide information technology strategy and operations, with a focus on creating and executing a comprehensive IT strategic plan that aligns with the company's academic transformation. This role requires the development and empowerment of a high-performing IT organization, optimization of IT governance, and the advancement of cybersecurity and AI strategy. The CIO will also be tasked with enhancing academic and research computing to support innovation and excellence. The ideal CIO for the company will be a visionary and proactive leader, preferably with experience in higher education, who can foster consensus in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Exceptional relationship-building skills, a collaborative and inclusive approach, and a transparent, trusted, and strategic leadership style are essential. The role demands a change agent who can balance competing priorities and resources while driving innovation and is deeply committed to the mission, vision, and values of the institution. The CIO will be a key member of the President's Cabinet, reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating and Financial Officer, and Treasurer, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the forward-looking IT vision that amplifies the impact of the company's academic strategic priorities.
