Join Us in Saving Black Cats! At Black Cat Rescue, we're on a mission to save the lives of black cats in Massachusetts. We're looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors, helping us shape the future of cat rescue. Your Role: Strategic Vision: Work with us to develop plans promoting black cat rescue and advocacy, ensuring we reach underserved communities and provide inclusive services. Policy Support: Help us create policies that reflect our commitment to cat and public welfare, ensuring everyone, regardless of background, has access to our services. Community Engagement: Be our voice in the community, building relationships, and raising awareness about black cat adoption and responsible pet ownership, especially in marginalized communities. Financial Sustainability: Assist in fundraising efforts to keep our programs running smoothly, ensuring we can continue serving cats and people in need. Bookkeeping experience is a bonus, but not required. Evaluation and Accountability: Help us assess our impact and hold ourselves accountable, ensuring we always strive to do better for our furry friends and our communities. Qualifications: Passion for animal welfare and dedication to our mission. Experience in nonprofit work or leadership is preferred, but optional. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking. Integrity and accountability in all endeavors. Time Commitment: We ask for a commitment of about 5 to 10 hours per month. This includes attending remote board meetings and participating in organizational activities. All responsibilities and duties may be completed remotely.
