Job Title: Billing Supervisor (working manager)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days in-office (NYC), 2 days remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: Up to $115,000

We are currently partnering with our highly respected law firm client, who has an immediate need for a hands-on, tech-savvy Billing Manager to lead their billing operations and support the continued growth of their finance department.
Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Billing Specialist looking to elevate their career. The Billing Manager will oversee a team of three and take ownership of the firm's billing functions. This role requires confidence, leadership, and a strong understanding of law firm billing systems and eBilling processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the billing department
• Supervise and mentor a team of 3 billing professionals
• Handle complex billing issues and provide direct support for high-priority clients
• Oversee eBilling processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and internal procedures
• Analyze and improve billing workflows and system efficiency
• Utilize Elite, Aderant, or SharePoint to manage billing data and reports

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in legal billing, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred
• Proven knowledge of eBilling systems and protocols
• Proficiency with Elite, Aderant, or SharePoint (required)
• Confident, tech-savvy, and comfortable learning new systems and tools
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment
