Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are excited to welcome a new
On Call Banquet Server to our island-inspired resort.
We are currently looking for someone who wants to be part of the Kona Kai culture, to stay a while and serve with a purpose. Come out and be part of the serenity of peaceful waterfront views at our friendly full-service San Diego harbor view hotel, surrounded by eleven acres of lush tropical gardens and calm water scenery!
We are looking for positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic Team of banquet servers and assist us in making things better.

This role will report to: The Director of Banquets and Assistant Banquet Manager
Requirements
As a banquet server, your friendly, energetic and professional personality will be the face of the catered dining experience. We are looking for a new team member to work AM/PM shifts. In this position, you serve top-notch food and beverage with class and style adding to the wonderful start or end of a celebration.
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Food Handlers Certification
- RBS Certification
- Positive, upbeat personality works well on a team, desire to learn, and able to multitask
- Hours will vary- flexible schedule required
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- 2 years of Banquets experience
- Ability to lift 5-15 pounds
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time
