Lead Avionics Engineer

Los Angeles, CA

Our exciting new Space client are looking for a Lead Avionics Engineer to join their team, as the Lead Avionics Engineer you will have complete ownership over the Design of all Electronics on their first Spacecraft.

Responsibilities:

• Own satellite avionics system-level design & interfaces and make system-level trades.
• Prototype, design, bring up and validate flight computers, communication systems, and electronics for power systems and ADCS.
• Establish best practices and tooling for electrical engineering design
• Develop in-house avionics test infrastructure – flatsat, GPS sim, power sim, comms sim, etc.
• Design and execute avionics validation plans

Ideal Qualifications:

• You’ve designed and validated circuit boards for the space environment.
• You’ve owned multiple high-reliability electronics designs from concept to deployment
• You can succeed with a high level of autonomy, and collaborate gladly.
• You’ve iterated on requirements and architecture to achieve an optimal design in a highly constrained trade space.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with RF and power electronics.
