Job Summary: 

The Assistant Manager of Children’s Programs is responsible for all operations of the Children’s Ski and Ride School with a focus on the 3-4 and 5-6 year old group lessons. They will report to and work alongside the Manager of Children’s Programs. They are accountable for guest and employee experience in the children’s group lesson facilities. They oversee the Support Staff Team Leads and the Support Staff in set up, check in, lesson support, lunch, check out and tear down of indoor and outdoor facilities.

 

Job Specifications:

  • The budgeted range starts at $27.00 - $31.00 / hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time
  • Skill Level: Advanced 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor quality of children’s group lessons with a focus on 3-4 and 5-6 year old products.
  • Provide feedback, growth, leadership, and training opportunities to develop team leads, support staff, and instructors
  • Lead, role model, and support Ski and Ride School, Resort, and Company safety programs. Stay current on guest and employee health and safety initiatives.
  • Work with management team to provide tools, training, and tactics to ensure the quality of products and services for our guests.
  • Resolve any guest complaints or issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a global view for managing and improving the Children’s Programs. Work closely with the SRS Children’s Manager to make operational adjustments and contribute to innovations for the entire School. 
  • Communicate and work with other departments to create an environment of support and trust that will benefit staff and guests.
  • Implement and hold staff accountable to both Ski & Ride School & company policies and procedures. Adhere to and model the Company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality and appearance of the Adventure Center, base areas, and on hill learning zones.
  • Oversee Support Staff Team Leads and Support Staff to elevate the guest experience and assist Instructors in their lessons.
  • Actively seek information to remain current in the industry and remain involved with professional organizations (PSIA/AASI). 
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years working full time for a Ski Resort
  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and RPOS
  • Fluent communicating in both written and verbal English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Leadership development
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, weekdays, evenings, & holidays
  • Able to work in inclement weather
  • Experience working with children

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience supervising within an adult or children's ski & snowboard school.
  • PSIA/AASI Level 2 and Children Specialist 2 certification or equivalent
  • College degree in education

 

The expected pay range is $27.00 - $31.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
