QUALIFICATIONS: - Crop production experience- Routine maintenance, general repairs and fabrication- Experience planting, spraying, harvesting, and record keeping- 3+ years of agricultural line production experience- Enforce safety regulations and policies- Good communications skills- Able to identify problems, take action, analyze information, and evaluate results- Adhere to internal policies and procedures- Proficiency in operating farm equipment, specifically forklift operation- Help to inspect fields to determine maturity dates of crops or to estimate potential crop damage- Prioritize and delegate projects and oversee ongoing progress- Knowledge of plasticulture in row crop growing operations- Bilingual in English and Spanish- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and Google Suites- Experience Welding- Long work long hours and limited time off during peak times (March to October)- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently- Good attitude and dependable- Looking for individual that is motivated- Ability to work as a team player in a safe and productive manner JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a qualified Farm Manager for this Oregon farming operation. Searching for an Assistant Farm Manager for an Oregon watermelon farm producer. We are looking for an agricultural production manager that has experience with a farm of 950 acres growing watermelon, alfalfa, pumpkins, and corn. Position is flexible in off-season months of November through February depending on the individual's skills and/or likes, either assisting farm operations, maintenance areas around the farm and rental properties. Person will assist in all areas of crop production. Person will assist in maintaining proper flow and scheduling through the production line, as most equipment is prepared and readied in advance. Candidates need to know precision equipment and have actual production line experience. Current or recent crop production and Ag management experience, knowledge of modern row crop farming.
