Position Overview:

The Assistant Controller is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's accounting and financial operations, including but not limited to, making sure financial records are accurate and up-to-date and that all financial reporting requirements are met. Reporting to the Controller, this role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This is a full-time employment opportunity working in our Headquarters Office in Boca Raton.

Requirements

Qualifications:

The following qualifications and responsibilities serve as a position overview and are not exhaustive. Employees are expected to be team players and may take on additional tasks as needed.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate lending industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude, extremely organized, excellent communication skills and self-motivated
• Strong computer skills, high rate of literacy and ambition to learn
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• CPA certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Controller in the preparation of the company's financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and patterns
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and external stakeholders
• Manage the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist in the company's budgeting and forecasting process
• Work with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process
• Stay up-to-date on accounting and financial reporting regulations and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller
