About the Position: Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers in New York City is seeking an Appraisal Coordinator for the Trusts & Estates Department. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent opportunity for an individual with an interest in the Arts. Responsibilities include: Manage the preparation of fair market value appraisals from the initial call to the delivery of the completed appraisal in a timely manner Attend on-site appraisals with the team of appraisers Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, executors and other clients and/or consultants, as required Organize and compile all materials needed for the appraisal from the appraisers and other sources Proofread your own work and the work of colleagues Participate in auctions and other events at Doyle Requirements: Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree Basic understanding of fine and decorative arts terms, furniture styles and periods Basic understanding of appraisal reports and methodology Strong typing and proofreading skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and similar programs Legally authorized to work in the United States If you feel you meet the qualifications for this position, we invite you to apply by submitting your resume, cover letter, and any other relevant documents.
