The Humane Society of Missouri is seeking a highly motivated Animal Care Specialist to join our team in providing the utmost care and attention to the animals in our Adoption Center. Pay starting at $16/Hr

Responsibilities:

As an Animal Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our shelter animals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing cages, runs, floors, and rooms to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for the animals.
  • Providing food and water to the animals, adhering to specific dietary requirements and ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
  • Assisting with medical procedures by restraining animals as required, ensuring their safety and comfort.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably, a minimum of 3 months of professional animal handling experience.
  • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
