Anesthesiologist opening on care team model at Baptist Memorial Hospital of Memphis in Memphis, TN. Baptist Memorial Health Care’s 80-acre East Memphis campus features the flagship hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, one of the highest-volume medical centers in Tennessee, along with other specialized hospitals and centers. The anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia services to three acute care hospitals and several ambulatory surgery centers. The practice consists of 25+ physicians and 70+ CRNAs working in a care team model focused on collaboration and care excellence. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The position is per diem with shifts to be discussed with the team. The location offers a vibrant cultural and family-friendly environment with many local attractions and educational institutions.
