We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering the flexibility of working remotely with occasional in-office requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing high-volume accounts payable tasks and must be able to work independently while meeting deadlines efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable inbox and ensure timely responses to vendor inquiries.
• Import and process invoices accurately, maintaining compliance with company policies.
• Manage invoice coding and ensure proper allocation to the appropriate accounts.
• Conduct check runs and ensure payments are processed promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes and support operational needs.
• Utilize Sage Intacct software to manage and track accounts payable activities.
• Handle a high volume of invoices across multiple store locations weekly.
• Provide support to other team members by taking on additional accounts payable responsibilities as needed.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, with the ability to handle high volumes of invoices.

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.

• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and check runs.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a mostly remote environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with managing accounts payable across multiple business locations is a plus.
