Job Title: 1st Shift Shipping Clerk/Warehouse Worker
Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. The position is for the 1st shift, from 5:30 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Receive and restock inventory
• Load and unload materials from trucks
• Break down boxes and package items for shipment
• Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders
• Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
• Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry
• Package items for shipment

Essential Skills

• Experience with picking, RF scanners, packing, packaging, and pallet jack usage
• Experience in loading and unloading, order picking, inventory, and shipping & receiving
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders, about 5-7 steps, and occasionally a 15 ft stair ladder
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat

• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work individually

Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is usually loud due to forklifts and other machinery running through the facility. Employees are required to wear plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes. The role involves utilizing stairs and RF scanners, and working hours are from 5:30 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
